Meat eaters
August 21, 2023
I have loved meat 🥩 for the whole of my life!
Now I am analyzing my meat-eating journey and realize that meat preferences also changed during that time: initially, it was mostly fatty pigs, fattier — better.
(now it doesn't looks tasty to me)
Then I decided (or was forced by vox populi) to lose some weight and, as a consequence, to restrict my food with veggy 🥦 stuff.
It was hard to cut off some part of your life — immediately, it was not nice... I had to switch to tuna, beer, beer, and beer...
I was starving, really starving for this pork, all this juicy fat, and so on. I didn't see a comfortable life without these kinds of food and people around me — they all eat pork (most of them).
6-10 months ago
After some time, about 6-10 months, I realized that I didn't need pork anymore, and even further — I found that pork is a "dirty" food, as Torah says.
Yes, I lost some weight by forcing myself to a healthier way of living, and at the same time, meat for me transformed into chicken, lamb, and beef.
Yeah, till a month ago, I thought nobody can't resist a nice steak... Oh, man!
And if it is cooked on an open fire, like in Cyprus — that is something special!
And something happened a month ago, something switched off (or on?) within me, and I don't starve for meat anymore...
The magic starts to happen when you go out of your comfort zone and start looking for new things!
Veggy pizza could be soooo surprising if you find the right "maestro" to cook it for you!
I've tried so many new, unexpected flavors and new colorful combinations and had fascinating conversations during all these experiences.
Thanks to Corona — it helped me to taste not only the flavor and texture of the food as well!
Wanna say — that everything is not about to comply someone else's rules and expectations, it is about being yourself and listening to your inner self.
ps: thanks for all the support for my family
